HARRISBURG – Rep. Stephenie Scialabba (R-Butler) announced more than $640,000 in state funding for improvement projects in the 12th District.

“I am happy to see these investments made in our communities,” said Scialabba. “These funds will help improve quality of life and safety for residents in the district and surrounding areas, and I am looking forward to working with our local officials on making these projects come to life.”

Cranberry Township was awarded $391,212 from the Multimodal Transportation Fund (MTF) to improve the intersection of Brandt Drive and Executive Drive.

Seven Fields Borough received $250,000 from the Local Share Account (LSA) Program to rehabilitate and redevelop the Seven Fields Community Pool as part of the park system. According to borough officials, the existing swimming pool is in fair to poor condition and needs improvements to extend its life and stabilize the surface. The project will restore the main pool area to include the installation of a new zero depth addition for safety, update the restroom, and upgrade equipment.

The Commonwealth Financing Agency oversees both MTF and LSA programs. MTF is designed to provide grants to encourage economic development and ensure a safe and reliable system of transportation is available in the Commonwealth. LSA grants target economic growth projects and are derived from gaming revenues.
